Platte County Federated Republican Women

Platte County Federated Republican Women (PCFRW) was chartered in 1950 and after 66 years of battling for Republican values and electing Republican to Platte County offices starting in 1968, culminating in Republican clean sweeps at the County level in 2010, 2012, 2014 and 2016 have decided in December 2016 to disband. We appreciate all your hard work over the decades of service to the Republican Party.  Maybe after an hiatus, the PCFRW will be reestablished in the future.

Members and associates are affiliated with the Missouri Federated Republican Women and the National Federation of Republican Women, with over 170,000 members throughout the U.S. The Federation of Republican Women is open to any woman who is a Republican.

“The purpose of the Federated Republican Women shall be to foster and encourage loyalty to the Republican Party and to promote its principals and candidates in all elections, to promote and inform the public through political education and activity, and to increase the effectiveness of women in the cause of good government.”

What We Did:

  • PCFRW met monthly on the 4th Thursday of the month at 7:00 pm  (No meetings in July or December and a picnic in June at a location TBD.) During August – September – October of Election years, the PCFRW met at the Platte County GOP Headquarters.
  • We engaged top caliber speakers on topics of concern in Platte County, Missouri and beyond.
  • We organized campaign activities and events for local, state and national candidates.
  • We offerred fun social events like the Summer Family Picnic.
  • We sponsored community service activities to make Platte County a better place for all.

Joining a local club is a great way to participate in the political process at the grassroots level and to network with other women in your community.  In the absence of the PCFRW, please consider joining the Northland Pachyderms (meeting on the 2nd Thursday of the Month), Organized Republican Conservatives of America (ORCA) (meeting the 3rd Monday of the Month at the South Platte Community Center (YMCA)) or the 3rd Friday Patriots (meeting 3rd Fridays at Abby Olson’s home).  OR if interested in the business end of the Republican Party, attend the Platte County Republican Central Committee monthly meeting at the Platte County Resource Center on the 1st Monday of the Month at 7pm.  Check our Calendar for more information as to time and location of the other organizations meeting in Platte County.

Platte County Federated Republican Women

All across the great state of Missouri, members “Make a Difference” every day. Some in small ways, some huge, but their passion for God, Country and the Republican Party keeps the rest of us strong, resolute and dedicated to our mission of getting Republicans elected. They are shining examples for all of us and as we meet today to honor them, we should look in the mirror and ask – how can we be more like them? How can we give selflessly of ourselves as they have and help make America a better country?
