SUMMARY:34th Senate District Reorganization Meeting
DESCRIPTION:The 34th Republican Senate District Committee will reorganize on Saturday 5 Sep 2020 at 10 AM at Big Rig Restaurant (Farris’ Truck Stop)\, Interstate 29 and HWY DD in Faucett MO.  The voting members of the 34th Senate District are the Chairs and Vice Chairs of Buchanan and Platte County Republican Central Committees\, and the 9th\, 10th\, 11th\, 12th\, 13th\, and 14th Legislative District Republican Committees.  The purpose of the Reorganization meeting is to elect a Chair\, Vice Chair\, Treasurer and Secretary of the 34th Senate District.  The Chair and Vice Chair must be voting members of the committee\, but Treasurer and Secretary need only be registered voters within the 34th Senate District (Platte & Buchanan Counties). Voting members of the 34th Senate District are also voting members of the 6th Congressional District Committee that will meet the following week (time and place to be determined) to reorganize the Congressional District Committee. \nNormally the Senate District would meet again following the November General Election to elect a Committeeman and Committeewoman to represent the 34th District on the Missouri Republican State Committee (MRSC)\, but a change in State statute now allows the State Committee member elections to occur at the Senate District Reorganization meeting.  The MRSC reorganizes after the General Election\, usually in January but not later than the MO State Lincoln Days celebration in February of the year following the General Election.

Plaza Circle\, Kansas City MO 64153.\n\nMore information will be available on social distancing procedures as the meeting date approaches.  There will be a short program followed by election of officers and adoption of club bylaws so that the new club can be registered with the Missouri Federated Republican Women.\n\nIf you have an old roster with bylaws from the previous PCFRW club please feel free to email a copy to us so they can be incorporated.\nBe sure to bring scrapbooks or pictures or PCFRW publications from the past to share with new members. The Platte County Federated Republican Women’s Club was first formed in 1960 and ran continuously for over 50 years until it disbanded in 2012.  In the past\, the PCFRW held annual summer picnics to showcase our county candidates; we held ABC (All about Campaigning) schools to help candidates with their campaigns\, and during election years we staffed the Platte County Republican Election Headquarters.\n\nA sign up sheet for hostesses for each meeting will be available. The plan is to hold the club meetings on the third Thursday of each\nmonth at 6:30 pm unless another date is preferable. The location of the meetings is yet to be determined. Please RSVP if you can help support our Republican candidates and elected officials.\n\nWe are looking forward to seeing you soon!\n\nNancy Felix\nnancybruder1@yahoo.com\n\nCharlotte Hoverder\nchoverder@gmail.com

Witnesses will be heard in committee at noon in Hearing Room 6. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nHow you can help:\n\n1. Rep Dan Stacy needs witnesses. We already have several who will go to Jefferson City and speak for this critical issue. Fill out a written witness form online at Witness Form (mo.gov) You do not have to be an “expert”\,  just speak as a passionate individual.\n\n2. Or\, you do not have to speak before the committee. Come and fill up the room and murmur \, “That’s right!” at the proper times. A full hearing room carries a lot of clout.\n\n3. If you can’t go\, call\, write and call again! Tell your representative (both house and senate) that supporting closed primaries is a critical issue for you. Try to reach as many as you can-not just your state rep. One call is good\, but 10 calls are better.\n\n4. If you know of conservatives in other cities or counties across the state\, please delete our email addresses and forward to them\, asking them to come. We may only have one shot\, and we must show that this bill has our support. Spread the word as fast as you can.
