Small Business Endorses Kevin Corlew in House District 14

Jefferson City, MO, October 23, 2014—The National Federation of Independent Business, Missouri’s leading small-business association, has endorsed Kevin Corlew in the House District 14 race.

The endorsement was made by NFIB/Missouri’s SAFE (Save America’s Free Enterprise) Trust, which is comprised exclusively of NFIB members.

“Kevin Corlew understands the challenges facing the state’s small, family businesses and is the clear choice in House District 14,” said Brad Jones, state director of NFIB/Missouri.

“We believe Kevin Corlew will take a fiscally responsible approach to managing state government and support legislation that helps our small businesses grow and create jobs and puts the state back on the pathway to success.”

“Small businesses are the backbone of our economy, creating 7 out of every 10 jobs,” Corlew said. “I represent businesses in my law practice and am a member of several Northland chambers of commerce. So I know the struggles small businesses face, and I’m committed to passing meaningful legislation to create an environment where small businesses can succeed and create more jobs.”

The NFIB/Missouri’s SAFE Trust’s endorsement is important to Kevin Corlew’s campaign. Small business owners and their employees vote in high numbers and are known for actively recruiting friends, family members and acquaintances to go to the polls. NFIB has pledged it will activate its grassroots network on behalf of the campaign. NFIB’s political support is based on the candidates’ positions and records on small business issues.
